I want to use this project to better understand the state of our ocean and marine life so that I can share that information out to our hapū and iwi. Learning more about all the animals and our aquatic ecosystems is something I’m looking forward to. My biggest goal would be to recuperate what has been lost and put our Moana back to how it used to be. Being a part of the scientific community excites me, you are continuously learning new things about how creatures function and survive. An additional benefit is working with whānau at home. I am very intrigued in what the future holds.

I wish to use this initiative to gain a deeper understanding of the current state of our ocean and marine life. I’m looking forward to learning more about all the different species and our water habitats. My primary goal is to restore what has been lost and return the Moana to its former glory. I enjoy being a part of the field of science because we constantly find new information about how organisms work and survive. In conclusion, my objectives with this kaupapa are to be able to educate our youth about the value of our marine life and inspire them to protect our unique small piece of paradise in the hope that one day they will take on what I believe.

Marine Biology has been one of the many things I’ve been interested in since primary, the way I saw it back then wasn’t the way I now see it today. I didn’t realise there’s so much more about our ocean then just sea water and fishes. Learning about the sea life is amazing especially getting to know how each and every little creature lives. I think being here learning about the ocean will be interesting and fun. My goal is to understand the how the ocean works and discover more new things in our waters. Getting to learn everything little by little peaks my interest to learn even more than I do now. I’m excited to learn and discover many new things
